 We gratefully accept donations of used clothing, small houseware items, and books.  We cannot take computer monitors, computers, or large furniture. 
Thank you so much for your support! Proceeds go to our student scholarship program.

BACK TO SCHOOL
​BACKPACK DRIVE
The Catholic Daughters buy backpacks and fill them with travel size toiletries and school supplies. We invite each family that is able to donate a backpack and fill it for a Tehachapi Highschool student that needs it. Some suggestions are travel sized deodorant, toothpaste, feminine products, and socks. Some other suggestions are pens, pencils, college ruled paper, index cards, and post it notes. There will be bins placed in the vestibule to collect your backpack donations. These backpacks will be available at the Warrior Pantry at the Highschool.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas is a national women's organization involved in a vast scope of charitable work in all fields, beginning at the Church and parish level and extending into many concerns of today's society. The Catholic Daughters address the needs of society that deeply affect today's generation, our youth, the elderly, and human life. The organization reaches out to make a difference in the lives of those who are suffering, regardless of circumstances.

Court St. Malachy has a membership of 100 women, many of whom serve our parish as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Sacristans, Religious Education Teachers, choir members, organists, and wherever else there is a need. Among the many service and charitable projects our court undertakes, we have constructed the parish Prayer Garden, sell religious articles after Masses twice per month, and sponsor a $1000 high school scholarship to a local graduating senior each year. Our local court also sponsors the annual Education Contest for Religious Education students and adults of our parish as well as bringing spiritual plays and cultural concerts to the community of Tehachapi.

At Christmas time, Court St. Malachy delivers baskets of cheer to the homebound of our parish and the greater community of Tehachapi. We sponsor fund raising dinners to support the less fortunate in our area and give to those in need regardless of religious affiliation. If you have ever wondered what you could do to help the less fortunate, improve your spiritual life, and take an active role in the parish join Catholic Daughters.
